I. Refund Policy

Any student who cancels their enrollment prior to the start of instruction shall be entitled to a 100% refund. For course divided into 2 days the student will receive 50% refund if the cancellation occurs following the start of the second day.
For courses divided into four sessions the refund schedule shall be 75%, 50% and 25%

For the 47 hour firearms training course we retain zero percent if the student withdraws from the course before instruction begins; or one-sixth of the course fees if the termination occurs after the commencement of the deadly force instruction, but before instruction begins for the firearms handling, safety, proficiency and qualification component of the course; or one hundred percent of the course fees if the termination occurs after instruction begins for the firearms handling, safety, proficiency and qualification component of the course. No non-refundable fees will be asses to the refund.

II. Refund Procedure

Any monies paid to the school in excess of the sum due the school by the student who cancels, withdraws or is discontinued will be refunded within thirty (30) days after notification in writing. Student can receive refund in the form of check, refund to credit card or electronic transfer. Students may elect to apply refund towards training at a later date. III. Attendance Policy

100 Percent attendance is required for all courses however we recognize that instances may arise when a student may not be able to attend class due to illness, family emergency, child care, or any other reasonable cause. In these instances we require a telephonic or email notification of absence from class. IPSTA will allow the student to make up hours during the next available course. Students that are a no call no show may be excluded from making up hours however they may appeal to the training school Director. Make up training will be granted on a case by case basis. IPSTA reserves the right to reject any application for admission, or to terminate a student for reasons of safety, attendance, conduct or not conforming to the rules and regulations of the school, New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services

IV. Complaint Policy

All Complaints will be reviewed by the training school Director. We will make every effort possible to resolve matters in a fair and equitable manner. If the Director of the school cannot resolve an issue with a student please call the Division of Criminal Justice Services at (518) 457-2667
